Adobe Illustrator
Creating posters for "The Siren" and "Returning to the Circus using Adobe Illustrator was an exciting journey. I began by brainstorming concepts that captured the essence of each film, then selected a color palette and typography that aligned with their themes. Utilizing Illustrator's vector tools, I unique illustrations and arranged the layout to ensure the titles stood. The final designs not only reflect the spirit of the films but also engage the audience visually.
Garment Construction & Fabrication
This section focuses on my hands-on expertise creating and sculpting small-scale clothing for character-based art. I pay close attention to how clothing fits the form, how silhouettes can be modified to enhance a character's personality, and how each item is meticulously created. I experiment with cutting, layering, and tailoring materials to see how clothes may be made to feel intentional and useful, even on a small scale. My work focuses on clean lines, proportion, and how costumes assist both movement and visual storytelling.
Material Exploration / Mixed Media Fabrication
I explore with materials like clay, paper, and fabric to learn how each medium reacts and how to adapt it for small-scale costume design.I'm fascinated in how material choices affect a character's overall appearance and feel, as well as how combining multiple mediums may generate contrast, depth, and personality. This strategy enables me to problem solve and go beyond typical methods to produce more expressive, character-driven designs.
