The Siren

The outfit was customized to produce a flowing, siren-inspired silhouette by precisely cutting and reshaping knit material to fit the character's shape. My dearest friend inspired this character, which had an impact on the piece's soft, expressive design and overall atmosphere. I concentrated on changing the proportions to produce a more fitting top body while letting the lower portion stretch into a soft, wave-like shape that symbolizes mobility. The texture of the knit fabric was deliberately selected to emphasize the organic, undersea sense, giving the dress a little uneven and natural movement. This approach shows my desire to shape and alter materials to create expressive, character driven stop-motion costumes.
